Job Description

Hot Lox Studio and Spa is an upscale beauty salon Studio and Spa dedicated to providing high customer satisfaction by rendering excellent service, quality products, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Hot Lox offers services for both men and women, services which range from Haircuts, color and straighteners, style-outs for the everyday and special events to Massages, Facials, Makeup applications and waxing.

The Salon Manager is responsible for upholding and maintaining the Hot Lox Studio practices and guest experience while meeting all salon service expectations and budget sales objectives, through staff recruiting, productivity development, salon service, and marketing promotions. Responsible for hiring of salon staff and staff training for the development of the salon, as well as implementing programs for client retention and business development. The Salon Manager reports to the Salon Owner.

The Salon Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage the day to day salon operations including bookkeeping, accounting, scheduling, customer services, in-store and online retail sales.
- Demonstrate business acumen; understand key business drivers, identify growth opportunities, staffing for growth, average ticket, and rebooking
- Exceed salon financial metrics: service revenues, client counts, average tickets, client retentions, retail revenue
- Analyze weekly/monthly sales, including service revenue, average tickets, and retail in the POS system; determine standards for staff productivity goals, rebooking and customer retention, and weekly revenue goals
- Manage inventory, order appropriate products while remaining within budget
- Respect and uphold Hot Lox Studio standards at all times; teach staff through example and training
- Maintain proper function of all machines and equipment on a regular basis
- Work closely with the Salon Owner, manage and support marketing to build visibility and client awareness of the salon; promotional programs to attract new clients, share ideas and experience to increase service and retail sales
- Be an example to staff through outstanding customer service, setting and reaching own personal objectives in retail sales, services, and client retention
- Participate in continuing education by performing or attending all technical and product training courses

Salary: Very Competitive (TBD) – Full-time

Desired Skills and Experience

- Cosmetology school graduate with minimum 2 years relevant work experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to build strong and productive team environment
- Able to work as a team while showing strong leadership skills

Other Requirements:
- Proficient with Apple Mac and Microsoft Office Suites of Products
