Job Description

Positive, inspiring, loyal, and ambitious, you are the leader of a salon. Your attention to
detail, your confidence, and ability to connect well with others will help you to excel as
our salon manager. As a Manager, you will oversee receptionists, assistants, and
stylists, in their client service performance and provide training in order to achieve
exceptional service. You are extremely organized and your attention to detail will allow
you to run the salon smoothly. You are a natural leader, and know that you are only as
good as your team, so mentorship is key. Working with the owner, side by side, you are
able to help ensure employees reach their goals and expectations. You coach and
guide employees to develop their talents, by facilitating educational events, as well as
working with them individually. You are an excellent communicator and interactively
help bring the salon vision to life. Your analytical skills are equally important, helping to
identify areas in need of improvement. As the salon manager, you facilitate payroll,
purchase retail, manage inventory and chemical service stock. Strategic thinking,
valuing relationships, and passion for achieving greatness, make you a driving force of
a vibrant and successful salon.
? Maximize company sales growth and profitability by leading all salon employees
in creating and delivering an engaging experience to every customer, every time
? Create and maintain a working environment that inspires and encourages
growth, and engages salon team members
? Maintain a strong, visible, and positive presence in the salon
? Ensure the execution and standards of the salon policies and programs as
directed by the owner
? Coach and/or enforce compliance and adherence to company processes and
policies
? Manage all aspects of performance (sales, retention, communication, etc.) to
encourage professional growth
? Co-manage talent recruitment, new hire, promotions, and disciplinary and
termination process of salon employees
? Schedule and organize salon trainings, and meetings,
? Oversee the training and development of front desk and assistant positions
? Maximize team and individual performance through creative incentives
? Address all employee relation issues effectively
? Maintain awareness of all educational events, product information, and social
media status, and communicate all pertinent information to salon employees
? Create and manage salon scheduling for front desk and assistants
? Track salon inventory and it’s needs
? Manage weekly color and product orders
? Have a complete understanding of employee handbook, benefits, and
resources.
? Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude, and
showing enthusiasm toward the job and company to both internal and external
clients in all forms of communication
? Effectively communicate and proactively problem solve in on-the-spot situations
with the staff and/or clients
? Communicate effectively and efficiently with all company employees in both
written and verbal form
? Conduct and lead weekly management team meetings
? Encourage a strong sense of teamwork by working together effectively, and
respectfully, with all employees
? Participate in ongoing trainings regarding technology upgrades and new
systems.




Desired Skills and Experience

2+ years management experience along with customer service relations
High school Diploma/ GED or equivalent
Strong reading, writing, and retention skills
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Hands on knowledge of Excel and Word
Basic knowledge of Quickbooks
Basic Math skills
Ability to move/lift up to 30 lbs with team assistance.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and nights.
Stylish and modern professional attire, and sense of style
